Motley birds waking up building up a chorus of their own,
Few morning walkers struggling to supress their yawn.
Few minutes left to grab some fresh air,

I speak the language you taught me,
Believed the words that you meant.
Been years since I heard yours,
Don’t know to you if they mean the same now.

A few years length of unspoken words,
A mountain of feelings to be shared.

 

Let it be buried, unknown, unsung like an unwanted child,
In the darkness of the night, before we change our mind,

With no entries made in teh registry, and the keeper looking away,

we will be lucky if no one comes our way.

The ‘You owe me’ list does not contain,

The hundreds of things you didn’t maintain.

You came as promised with desire weakening your fear,
Checking if someone was behind, from the world you held dear.
 

Today, you walked in with the Moon rising,

Set behind your face, glowing.

You, a total stranger, as if seeing you for the first time,

Epitome of love, the most valued of my secret beings.

Frozen nervously in the moments I smiled,
As I talked, I weaned, but my mind remained fixed.

 

Leafless trees and dusty paths baking in the March Sun,

Came the unwarned Cloud and covered them all.

Sun gave in and surrendered his might,

Mellowing the Sun, the Cloud smiled.
